Hoang Long Cement Joint Stock Company was reported to have caused severe pollution
Residents of Dong Om Hamlet reported severe pollution caused by seven quarries operating in the area under Hoang Long Cement Joint Stock Company. The continuous noise and dust from these activities have severely impacted local living conditions. Many households experienced cracked walls and collapsed roofs due to blasting operations. According to regulations, 35 households within a 1,000-meter radius were required to relocate, but no final agreement had been reached between the residents and the company regarding compensation and land clearance. The lack of resolution caused growing concern among residents as the cement plant neared completion.
