The business performance of construction industry is poor in the first quarter of 2023
The financial statements for the first quarter of 2023 of 98 companies in the construction industry have reflected the process of bottoming out profits, accompanied by weak or even negative growth. Of which 95 companies reported profit, compared to 49 companies in the previous report; 57 companies witnessed negative revenue growth, compared to 33 companies in the previous report; 80 companies witnessed negative net profit growth, compared to 56 companies in the previous report. According to the Ministry of Finance, the disbursement of public investment capital in the first four months of 2023 is still stagnant. Moreover, the investor has not been active in the project implementation, leading to slow disbursement progress.
