Bao Tin Minh Chau Company Limited had case transferred to the Ministry of Public Security and was fined over VND 2.6 billion

Bao Tin Minh Chau Company Limited had information regarding legal violations and signs of criminal offenses in its gold trading activities transferred to the Ministry of Public Security for verification, investigation, and handling by the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV). This decision followed an inspection that revealed numerous serious violations by Bao Tin Minh Chau concerning invoice, accounting document, and tax regulations. The company was also administratively fined a total of over VND 2.6 billion for breaching anti-money laundering regulations and reporting requirements for gold purchases and sales. Violations included issuing incomplete internal regulations, failing to store customer information, not reporting large-value transactions, violating e-commerce regulations, and displaying signs of unfair competition.
