The National Power System and Market Operator Company Limited reported a substation failure in the southern region that disrupted 500kV transmission lines and caused widespread power outages. Several thermal power units shut down suddenly, and renewable energy output dropped while the system activated load shedding to maintain frequency stability. The issue was resolved within about 15 minutes, and most of the power supply was restored.
