Hanoi Power Corporation (EVNHANOI) warned residents and customers about rising scams involving fake electricity company employees. Scammers impersonated EVNHANOI staff and claimed customers owed electricity bills, threatening to disconnect power. They also led people to fake apps and websites, stealing bank account information. Despite the company's warnings, scam reports increased significantly in early 2025. EVNHANOI emphasized that it does not use personal phone numbers for communication and encouraged customers to report suspicious calls to its customer service hotline.
