Meet the Expert Secondee from S&P Global Ratings to FiinRatings - Ying Li, CFA, FRM

Financial Sector Ratings Specialist, S&P Global Ratings
Under the Technical Collaboration Partnership between FiinRatings and S&P Global Ratings and as part of the Capacity Building Project supported by the Asian Development Bank, Ms. Ying Li has been seconded to FiinRatings to support the Financial Sector Ratings Team from October to December 2024.
Ms. Li is the Head of Financial Institution Ratings at S&P Global China Ratings, a national scale credit rating agency by S&P in China. Ms. Li has over 13 years of experience in credit ratings and financial risk management. During her six years at S&P, she has made significant contributions to the development and implementation of credit risk assessments for major financial sectors in national scale rating context. Prior to her career in financial institution risk management, Ms. Li worked as a consultant at the World Bank’s Beijing office. She has M.B.A degree (dean’s list) from Ivey Business School, Canada. She is CFA charter holder, and hold FRM certification.
As part of this initiative, credit rating specialists from S&P Global Ratings are supporting FiinRatings in strengthening its analytical capabilities in both financial institution and corporate sector ratings, as well as assisting with the implementation of international best practices for compliance.
