Corporate Sector Ratings Specialist, S&P Global Ratings
Under the Technical Collaboration Partnership between FiinRatings and S&P Global Ratings and as part of the Capacity Building Project supported by the Asian Development Bank, Mr. JunHong Park has been seconded to FiinRatings. He will provide expertise in Corporate Sector Ratings from October 2024 to January 2025.
Mr. Park is currently Director and Lead Analyst for Corporate Ratings at S&P Global Ratings, based in Hong Kong. He leads credit assessments for Korean corporates across multiple sectors, including technology, telecommunications, automotive, steel, chemicals, properties, utilities, and infrastructure. With over 14 years of experience at S&P, Mr. Park previously worked as a credit analyst at Samsung Life Insurance and performed a auditor and tax consultant role at PwC Korea. He holds an MS in Statistics from Stanford University, an MBA in Accounting and Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Seoul National University. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
As part of the collaboration, credit rating specialists from S&P Global Ratings are working with FiinRatings to enhance its analytical capabilities in both corporate sector and financial institution ratings, while also helping to implement international best practices for compliance.
