[Flashnote - 22/2/2021]: VNINDEX increases, local retail investors and pro-traders net buy

VNINDEX increased 0.16%, closed at 1175.04, total market trading value reached VND17,536 billion, up 1.9% compared to the previous session.

Retail Investors: continued to net buy VND684 billion today, of which VND300 billion was net bought via matched orders. Their top net-buys were VNM (180 billion), HPG (64 billion), SSI (45 billion), MBB (37 billion), and OCB (37 billion).

On the net selling side, they sold the most VHM (54 billion), LPB (38 billion), TCB (37 billion), VIC (37 billion) and VCB (35 billion).

Pro-traders: changed to net buy VND110 billion of which VND107 billion net bought via matched orders. Top net-buys were TCB, VIC, MWG, VGC and VPB. On the net selling side, they sold IJC, HPG and FPT.

Local institutional investors: net sold in total but net bought in matched orders. They net sold VND180 billion dong in total, but they net bought VND203 billion via matched orders. They net sold HNG (300 billion) and CII (89 billion) to local retail investors via put-through orders.

For matching transactions, they net bought Real Estate (VIC, VHM, FLC), Basic Resources (HPG 58 billion) and Banking (VPB, ACB, MSB, CTG, VCB). On the net selling side, they net sold financial services (SSI). Travel & Leisure (HVN) and Information Technology.

Foreign investors: net sold VND613 billion of which VND611 billion was net sold via matched orders. They net sold the most Food & Beverage (VNM-178 billion), Basic resources, mainly HPG (110 billion) and Real Estate (VIC-42 billion). Other top net sold stocks included SSI, and CTG.

Thei top net buys included VHM, VCB, NVB, BID and DHC.
