Vietnam National Cement Corporation (VICEM) reported a challenging 2024, incurring a pre-tax loss of VND 1,296 billion before exchange rate differences. Among its 17 subsidiaries, 10 reported losses, with Ha Long Cement leading at VND 565 billion, followed by Vicem Tam Diep (VND 222 billion) and But Son Cement (VND 202 billion). This marks two consecutive years of substantial losses for VICEM, reflecting broader industry challenges such as declining production and revenue, coupled with high borrowing costs and debt pressure.
