FLC Group has just seen its former Chairman Trinh Van Quyet sentenced to 7 years in prison for asset embezzlement, down from 18 years in the first trial. He was also fined VND 4 billion for stock market manipulation. His two sisters and several senior executives were also convicted but received reduced sentences due to full compensation. Quyet’s family has paid over VND 2.472 trillion to remedy the damages caused in the case.
