Vietnam National Coal And Mineral Industries Holding Corporation Limited (TKV) owns a shoe factory in Cam Pha, Quang Ninh, spanning over 19,000m2, which is now abandoned and severely deteriorated. Originally established by TKV in 1999 as Son Long Shoe Company, the factory was dissolved in 2003 after producing its first batch of shoes. Subsequently, it was leased to Everbest Vietnam Co., Ltd., which also ceased operations in 2017. Since then, the factory has remained vacant and is under the care of Cam Pha Port and Warehouse Company, which incurs monthly costs for security, electricity, and water. TKV is currently processing procedures to return the land to local authorities.
