The company illegally imported blood meal, bone meal, and meat-and-bone meal from Europe, where mad cow disease risks exist. In August 2023, authorities seized two shipments worth VND 6.5 billion. Officials accepted bribes to bypass inspections, allowing the smuggling operation to continue for years.
