On December 31, 2024, the People’s Committee of Bac Giang Province fined Hong Phat Mineral Exploitation Co., Ltd. VND 520 million and ordered environmental restoration. Specifically, the company was found extracting 45m³ of sand beyond the permitted boundary in the Luc Nam River, Bac Giang. Additionally, the company was required to return VND 2.7 million in illegal profits from the violation
