How FiinPro® Platform provides insights to new market player as NH Securities

NH Investment & Securities (NH I&S) has just completed buying 100% share capital of Woori Securities, to become the 7th wholly foreign-owned enterprise in Vietnam Securities market. Right after that, in May 2018, the firm has signed up for FiinPro® Platform with the aim of mastering new market insights.

NH I&S took its first step to enter Vietnam market by buying 12.7% share capital of Woori Securities in 2009. This January, the firm increased its shares to 96.15%, then fully acquiring 100% in April.

As other penetrators, NH Securities Vietnam (NHSV) faces loads of challenges on its way to advance new market, especially to find out a reliable, accurate and real time financial database specialized for Vietnam market only. Well understanding these barriers, FiinPro® Platform, with experience of serving 5/6 other wholly foreign-owned enterprises; including KIS, KB Securities, Shinhan Securities, Maybank Kim Eng and Yuanta; did offer a proper solution to the company.

Specifically, FiinPro® Platform - the first in-depth financial database platform for Vietnam, jointly developed by StoxPlus and QUICK Corp (part of Nikkei Inc.) – provides NHSV a wide range of data including level II data, industry data, macro data and corporate data (not only listed companies but also more than 3,000 public companies with total revenue accounting for nearly 70% of Vietnam's GDP). Moreover, basic and advanced analytic tools such as Stocks Analysis, Stocks Screening, Data Export in Excel and many other tools are also included in the package to support Investment Banking Department of the company.
