Investor Conference: Investing in Vietnam Securities Market - Foreign Investors’ Perspectives

We are pleased to announce that StoxPlus and HOSE will jointly organize an Investor Conference namely “Opportunities and Challenges of Investing in Vietnam Securities Market – Foreign Investors’ Perspectives” from 13:30 – 17:30 on 31st July 2015 at the Exchange Tower, 16 Vo Van Kiet Street, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City.

 

In this conference, StoxPlus will introduce their new investor platform, FiinPro®, the first ever comprehensive financial database in Vietnam jointly developed with QUICK Corp (Japan). The event is part of a series to celebrate HOSE’s 15-Year Anniversary, marking an important milestone for the development of Vietnam securities market.

 

Being one of the most open economy in the World, Vietnam has been attracting a large foreign capital flow since 2005 from diverse international market participants. Meanwhile, positive outlooks from some foreign trade initiatives such as TPP, PPP and Vietnam – Korea FTA are being developed, certain policy developments by the Government being either discussed or approved, such as the increase of foreign room limit and possibly the floating of SOEs’ shares would improve market liquidity and create confidence from market participants, especially foreign institutional investors into Vietnam.

 

The Event will start with the presentation from Ms. Nguyen Thi Viet Ha, Member of Board of Directors of HOSE, about the factors driving capital flows into Vietnam, followed by two Japanese speakers: Mr. Koichi Takeuchi, Senior Strategist from Japan Securities Incorporated (JSI) who will analyze views from Japanese investors about Vietnam Stock market; and Ms. Yoko Ogimoto, Senior Consultant from Nomura Research Institute (Tokyo, Japan), will discuss on investment opportunities from SOE IPOs and Divestments. There will also be an inside-out view from Mr. Nguyen Quang Thuan, CEO of StoxPlus Corporation, “What foreign investors are looking for”, with findings from StoxPlus’ survey and data analysis.

 

The Event is supported by Nikkei Inc., the leading media corporation in Asia and its subsidiary: QUICK Corp. (Japan). About 200 financial and investment professionals from securities firms, fund managements, investment companies, insurance firms and banks from Vietnam, Japan, Korea and Thailand will participate in the event.
